About Us

Meet the ScreenRex Team:

Kyle Pinion

Kyle is a film critic and entertainment journalist, who in his role as Entertainment Editor of The Beat has covered a number of pop-culture events across the country centered on film, television and comic books. Kyle is the Vice President of the Southeastern Film Critics Association (SEFCA), a founding member of the Atlanta Film Critics Circle (AFCC), and a member of the Georgia Film Critics Association (GAFCA). His reviews can be collectively found at Rotten Tomatoes.

Hannah Lodge

Hannah graduated from Indiana University with a degree in journalism.  She has been known to spend an entire day (or night, or both) marathoning TV shows or playing video games. And then perhaps writing about it. She loves movies almost as much as she loves her dog. Her reviews for this site and other sites can be collectively found at Rotten Tomatoes.

Shane Perry

When not reviewing comics, Shane spends his time teaching English-Language Arts to high school students. Shane is a two-time graduate of the University of Alabama and a huge Alabama football fan (Roll Tide!). Hobbies include: watching television and movies, reading pretty much anything written by Brits or for Young Adults, advocating for LGBT rights, and discussing the awesomeness of Jurassic Park. Though Shane mostly reviews superhero comics, other favorite comics include Fables, The Unwritten, and Saga.

Harper Harris

Harper is a audio engineer who has kept an ongoing list of movies he’s seen since 2006 that’s getting a bit unwieldy. He works in sound on movies and TV in Atlanta and will happily give a dissertation on why Roma was robbed to anyone who will listen. He’s a huge horror movie fan and can be found watching scary movies of questionable quality or Godzilla movies on any given day.

Calvin Cleary

Calvin is a librarian and writer in central Ohio. They’ve been writing about pop culture regularly since 2008 on a variety of blogs. Check out they’re latest story, “The Dawn Woman,” in Humans Are the Problem: A Monster’s Anthology, and follow them on Twitter @ikiruined.
